About Victoria Guitar Society

VGS is a registered non-profit organization in Victoria, British Columbia, and was incorporated in July 2017. Our mission is to promote education and increase appreciation of classical guitar in Victoria and encourage community building through concerts, workshops, and social events. 

We offer an International Concert Series that features the best international and Canadian artists. Our Outreach programs include monthly Open Mics, a Community Ensemble, free public performances, and free presentations on classical guitar. 

VGS actively supports the Greater Victoria Performing Arts Festival by providing awards and festival coordination assistance.
